Imogen Clark with special guests The Weeping Willows

24 Jan 2019 - The Loft

Only TCMF 2019 Headline Show

When an artist first emerges at a young age, they often have a limited well of knowledge and experience to draw from, yet on her sophomore album Collide, Imogen Clark tackles, with great clarity, the tumultuous process of entering adulthood, the joys and challenges of learning about yourself, those around you, and your place in the world, and the duality of emotion that is the undercurrent of so many of life’s experiences.

“Imogen is a songwriter well beyond her years with a flawless voice that is mesmerising. At just 23, she is already an old soul” – Kasey Chambers.

The range and conviction throughout her debut album and live performances is what has already drawn many to Imogen’s songwriting and will continue to capture the hearts and minds of new fans as the bruised, honest and ultimately optimistic songs of Collide make their way into the world.

"Collide is an album of brilliant polish and expansive genre crossover… Clark touches eloquently on the profound uncertainties that mark us all” – Country Update.

The Weeping Willows:

The Weeping Willows, Laura Coates and Andrew Wrigglesworth, are a couple of old souls, steeped in Bluegrass tradition and draped in Gothic Americana imagery. They regale their audiences with stories of sunshine and romance, God and The Devil, murder and decay. Real music.

2015-2018 has seen The Weeping Willows nominated for 4 x Golden Guitar Awards, 4 x CMC Awards, performing at Americana Fest (USA), Folk Alliance International (USA) and Maverick Festival (UK), supporting Hayes Carll, Iris DeMent, Eilen Jewell, Kinky Friedman, Cory Branan, Kevin Welch, Tim Easton, Shane Nicholson, Bill Chambers and Lachlan Bryan, and completing a national tour in support of their sophomore album, Before Darkness Comes A-Callin’, which received four-star reviews in Rolling Stone, The Australian and The Music. A Weeping Willows performance, whether live on location or caught on tape, will always delight.
