Don't miss this once in a lifetime double bill.
Calling The Beach Boys “legends” is an understatement. Their multi-layer harmonies, unmistakable 1960s surf rock sound and laid-back style launched them into worldwide fame, while simultaneously shaping the future of pop music forever. 50 years, 100 million albums sold and an induction into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame later, The Beach Boys are the top-selling American band of all time. And with musical masterpieces like Surfin’ USA, Pet Sounds and Kokomo, it’s no surprise The Boys took home the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY.
There's no better way to celebrate the summer than experiencing the band that literally created the beach rock sound live. And there's no better place to do it than right here in Tamworth at TRECC.
If you like your surf with a side of soul, joining The Beach Boys are the smooth, the soulful, and the funky group, The Temptations. Known for their Motown smash hits Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, My Girl and Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone, these guys, with the help of writer/producer Smokey Robinson, embodied the heart and soul of Motor City USA. 55 years after the group first came together, The Temps are headed to Tamworth.
It’s the soundtrack of your summers past, so get ready for a night of “Fun, Fun, Fun” at Tamworth’s one and only entertainment centre, TRECC. Just, maybe leave the surfboard at home.
Please note: The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Jeff Foskett, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Brian Eichenberger and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band. This tour will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.
